A New Trail And A New Spirit

Construction on the Ocean Homes began in the first quarter of 2010 at Mosquito Creek Marina for a new, state-of-the-art liveaboard dock alongside the recently completed Spirit Trail.  The beginning of 2011 saw the delivery of the first new float-homes.

Designed and built in the Lower Mainland, Spirit Trail Ocean Homes are created specifically to maximize the enjoyment, and endure the challenges, of our unique West Coast seaside environment. Up to twenty-three homes will be built and moored at a newly constructed dock. Each float home meets or exceeds all Canadian and B.C. building standards.

We currently have four plans to choose from. The Ocean Home sizes range from 885 to 1,580 livable square feet; there is flexibility to increase or decrease the number of square feet. Decks and balconies are not included in the liveable square footage, but additional, generous outside areas are featured in the plans. Float construction is of durable, positive concrete.

All Ocean Homes come with a five-piece EnergyStar certified appliance package, have dedicated natural gas and waste connections, and feature an on-demand tankless hot water system. New slips, specifically designed and set aside for the Spirit Trail Ocean Homes, can be reserved now. Moorage rates for the float-homes are based on the home’s footprint on the water.
